Ditches
the path to righteousness is narrow. if the road is narrow, then it must be easy to fall into one of the two ditches that occupy either side of the road. i think that the majority of modern day (especially American) Christians are in one of the ditches. i find myself slipping down, losing my footing and falling in.
one side is full of legalistic, ritualistic, man-made righteousness. it's the ditch i like the least. the other side, however, is a bit too free. stretching out our freedom in Christ and wasting God's grace by living a life with no accountability, no rules, no law.
i could talk about the two for hours, but i'm afraid i'd just go in a big big circle, ultimately being caught up in a viscious cycle. so i'm not gonna waste neither your time nor mine. might have more thoughts on it posted once i have some more solidity to it all.
